My passion for mathematics stems from the fact that EVERYTHING is connected!
From algebra to equations to polynomials to measurement, every formula and rule forms the piece of the puzzle that is mathematics. It is through piecing together each idea that the great mathematicians are able to understand the complexity of the world we live in.
The moment you, as a student can make relationships in mathematics, the sky is your limit.
In saying this, my aim as a tutor and an educator is to help students make connections between each topic and skill learnt throughout the course of their schooling life.
In particular, this post focuses on domain and range and how making relationships between functions and algebra can enable you to understand the basics of domain and range and how to apply them to questions of varying difficulty.
Domain and range is topic within sketching functions that allows us to understand the limits and the patterns in every function.
In the video below, I explain the definitions of domain and range, and also how to apply these concepts to questions of varying difficulty.
After watching this tutorial, you will develop an understanding on the relevance of domain and range as well as its relations to other areas of mathematics, such as graphing functions and algebra.
